This is at the park where it was so HOT even in the shade!

They do look pretty simliar!
Since we have been married we have always done something with Vinny's family on the fourth. The tradition is usually to go to the provo parade and then to a park where we have fried chicken and celebrate Enoch's birthday. For the past two years we haven't been going to the parade. I guess since families are getting bigger it is more difficult to go with all the little kids! Instead we go up american fork canyon to Mutualdale have a bbq, do ropes courses, and go canoeing. That was going to be the plan this year and we were even planning on going up on the third to spend the night in the lodge that they have there. This year there have been so many fires and on that day there was one that was right next to american fork canyon. They ended up closing down the canyon so instead of camping out up there we all camped out on Vinny's parents lawn! I almost liked it better than going up the canyon. It was so much fun! (Even though there really was no sleeping for me....Which is pretty much how it goes these days no matter where I sleep.) We had Dutch oven stew that night. Played a fun game with grandma and grandpa. Had a flag ceremony the next morning and went to the park for lunch. Even though plans fell through I thought it turned out perfect! (Other than I will admit I did complain about the heat at the park the next day BUT I didn't start complaining until my feet were really swollen and I was really uncomfortable!)
After we got home and unloaded the car we all took naps and then we went to the movie Brave with our friends, Matt and Tanshyle. Kaydence loved it because she got to eat food while she was watching the movie and Adallyn loved it for about 5 minutes and then wanted to get down and play. (I don't know if we will be taking her to the movies again anytime soon. She has never just wanted to sit and watch anything she always wants to be climbing something! She is one crazy little girl sometimes!) The heat must have done a number on me because on the way home I had to have Vinny stop because I got sick! Ugh. We got home and I layed down while Vinny took the girls to watch fireworks at the clubhouse. Which again Kaydence loved but Adallyn was just scared to death of them. She would just keep pointing and looking at where they were coming out and wouldn't look at them up in the sky, silly girl! Very busy but fun fourth of july this year!
OK! I love that park. Mainly because the parking lot and bathroom are so close to the playground. It makes it so much easier with the three kids. I agree with you though, not nearly cool enough!
